Actually, it sounds like you need to use the Optimize function of the PAR
software.  This will move the files around so they're positioned most
efficiently on the drive.  You didn't mention this in your message, so I'd
suggest trying this first.  From what you say, your PAR drive sounds pretty
full, so the Optimize could take a while.
